  • Product Description
    • Commodity name: Water-based stearic acid emulsion

    Chinese name:

    Water-based stearic acid emulsion

    Product nature:

This product is refined through a special processing technique, using imported high-purity stearic acid and food-grade dispersants. It appears as a milky-white emulsion with a slight sheen, exhibiting excellent stability—no layering, no sedimentation, and completely free of any toxicity.

    Main uses:

    1. Widely used in the manufacture of cosmetics, cold-resistant plasticizers for plastics, mold release agents, stabilizers, surfactants, rubber vulcanization accelerators, water-repellent agents, metal soaps, metal mineral flotation agents, softening agents, pharmaceuticals, and other organic chemicals.

    2. It can be used as a solvent for oil-soluble pigments, a slip agent for crayons, a polishing agent for wax paper, an emulsifier for stearic acid glycerides, and more.

    3. In the food industry, it is used as a lubricant and antifoaming agent. Aqueous stearic acid is also a key ingredient in the production of almond honey and milk-like beverages.

    4. Water-based stearic acid is widely used in the manufacture of PVC plastic pipes, sheets, profiles, and films. It serves as a heat stabilizer for PVC and exhibits excellent lubricity as well as good light and thermal stability. In PVC plastic pipes, stearic acid helps prevent "scorching" during processing. When added to PVC film processing, it acts as an effective heat stabilizer and also protects finished films from discoloration caused by exposure to sulfides.

    5. Aqueous stearic acid plays an important role in the synthesis and processing of rubber. It is a widely used vulcanizing activator in natural rubber, synthetic rubber, and latex, and can also serve as a plasticizer and softener. During the production of synthetic rubber, it acts as an emulsifier; when manufacturing foam rubber, it functions as a foaming agent; and it can further be used as a release agent for rubber products.

    6. Water-soluble stearic acid is used as an emulsifier in two types of skincare products—snow cream and cold cream—helping them transform into stable, white pastes. Stearic acid soap esters have even wider applications in the cosmetics industry.

    7. Aqueous stearic acid plays an important role in the modification of micro- and nanomaterials, enabling the materials to be modified into hydrophobic properties.

    8. Used to prevent moisture absorption, water uptake, and caking in powders, enhancing product flowability. In various spray-drying processes for producing powders, it serves as an isolating barrier to prevent moisture absorption, reduce water uptake, and inhibit caking, thereby extending the product’s shelf life.
